Mill House
Situated within the countryside of Stamford, our client commissioned us to extend and renovate an existing farmhouse and its outbuildings, bringing them up to modern standards to accommodate the needs of their family.
This considered design complements the existing building through its use of rural vernacular forms and proportions, and the use of high-quality local stone.
The new design has been positioned to make the most of the impressive views across the open countryside and nearby lake, improving the connection with nature which the house currently lacks.
The building will be highly insulated as well as benefiting from the use of solar panels discretely positioned on outbuildings to help reduce its overall carbon footprint.
